Griffin Blokker, (Central Bucks High School-West, Class 2024) has been named to the 2022-23 National High School Coaches Association’s Academic All-American team.
He is one of four boys soccer players from Pennsylvania on the 2022-23 Academic All-American team.
The National High School Coaches Association annually honors the best student-athletes in the country, in 22 sports. NHSCA received thousands of applicants, and the selection process is extremely competitive. Class rank, grade point average and a student's athletic accolades are used in determining their placement on an Academic All-American team.
Griffin and his 4.32 GPA will return to the Bucks team this fall for his Senior season having started all but one game in his Sophomore and Junior seasons.
John Adair, new head coach at CB west said the following about Griffin,
“Griffin’s stability and experience during the 2022 and 2021 seasons will be essential to our success this coming fall. During the limited time we’ve had together, he’s displayed great leadership qualities and been a great example for the rest of our goalkeepers and squad as a whole.”
Griffin plans to attend an academically challenging university in fall of 2024 while playing soccer.
